Gameplay
Tower of Doom was a gamemode in Blooket that released on March 11th, 2020, during Season 1. It could be played only on Solo, but it used to have a Homework mode before the News was announced that it was retiring. It was supposed to be retired on August 8th, 2025, confirmed by the News but has been postponed to August 9th. If you want to learn why click here. However, you could still find it on August 9th, 2025, but it was removed from Blooket later in the day.
The goal of this game-mode was to defeat various enemies by selecting cards to fight. In order to damage your enemies, you would need to pick a higher card attribute than the enemy. There were 3 attributes: Strength, Charisma, and Wisdom. The max power that every ability can have is 20 each.
To start, you are required to answer questions until you get 5 of them correct. For each question out of the 5 you get correct, you are provided with 3 cards to choose from, but you can only select one. Once you acquire 5 cards, you will be displayed with a map. The map shows you all routes you can take and icons you can go through.
If you answer a question correctly, you got to choose the attribute, but if you got it wrong, the enemy would choose the attribute instead (Usually the Card's highest).
To deal damage, you chose an attribute from your card. If it was stronger than the enemy’s attribute, the subtracted value between the two attribute powers was your base damage. Then, that base damage got multiplied by the streak you had of dealing damage to the opponent. The final number was how much damage you deal total. This also applied to the enemy if they had a better attribute than the one you chose.
After fully defeating enemies, you would've received 3 cards to pick from, similarly to the beginning of the game, but if you had the Pink Hippo card, you only got to pick from 2 cards.
Retirement & Legacy[]
Ben announcing why ToD was removed
The mode officially retired on August 9th, 2025, at approximately 1:38 P.M. (or around 1 o'clock), marking the end of an era.
On Early August till 9th, the community was given one final chance to play Tower of Doom.
Icons[]
The icons were special symbols that spawn on the map and told you what that stage was. You could find information about them in the game too.

The blue robot icon indicated that you would battle an Evil Common Blook, the weakest enemy. You gained a small amount of coins and were less likely to gain good cards as a reward for fighting these enemies.

The red skull icon indicated that you would battle an Evil Uncommon/Rare Blook, the second weakest enemy. These stages were also called Mini-Bosses. You got better rewards and more coins by battling Mini-Bosses than you did by battling regular enemies.

Shop (TOD)
Rest interface after you answer 3 questions
The yellow market icon indicated a Shop stage. Once you entered this stage, 6 cards would randomly generate, and this was where you could've purchased new cards or removed cards from your deck by spending coins. The higher the rarity, the more expensive the card would be. Removing cards from your deck would always cost 50 coins, unless you had the Coupon card, which decreased the costs by 10%.

The orange bed icon indicated a Rest stage. You could choose to add +2 attributes to everything on 1 card, or you could gain 5 health. In order to do that you would be required to answer 3 questions correctly. If you had Anorak's Wizard Cap, this stage is skipped immediately.

? stage (Good luck)
? stage (Bad luck)
The purple question mark icon indicated a Risk stage. Once you entered this stage, there was a 50-50 chance of the outcome being good or bad, and you will either have to choose between a good card or gaining HP, or you will have to choose between a bad card or losing HP. If you have Lucky Feather, your bad luck will be very unlikely and you'll have better luck.

The red warning sign indicated that you would battle a Epic (Level 1 Map)/Legendary (Level 2 & 3 Maps) Blooks, the strongest enemy. The Stage 1 Boss was the Evil Unicorn with 70 HP, the Stage 2 Boss was the Evil Santa Claus with 100 HP, and the Stage 3 Boss was the Evil King with 150 HP. The Bosses got harder and harder to defeat as the game progressed, but you'd earn very good cards (maybe Legendary cards) and lots of coins by defeating them.
Battles[]
When you reached a blue robot icon, a skull icon, or a red warning sign, you would fight in a battle. For the blue robot icon and the skull icon, the Blook that you battled and their health amount were generated at random, but it would be lower for enemies that were easier to defeat. At the beginning of the battle, one of the cards in your deck was chosen at random, and so was one of the cards from your opponent's deck, however the opponent's card would be face down. You would answer a question, and if you answered correctly, you got to choose the attribute. The attributes to choose from were Strength, Charisma, or Wisdom. If you answer the question incorrectly, the opponent chooses the attribute. After the attribute was chosen, the opponent's card was turned over and the numbers of the corresponding attributes are compared.
If your number was higher than the opponent's you won the round. The difference between your number and the opponent's number was the amount of health the opponent loses (unless you had a streak bonus). If the opponent's number was higher than yours, you lost the round. The difference between your number and the opponent's number was the amount of health that you lost (unless your opponent has a streak bonus). If the numbers are equal, no damage would’ve been taken (unless a card in your deck stated otherwise), and the next round begins. If your opponent got to zero health before you do, you win, you collect your reward, and you continue playing. If you got to zero health before your opponent, you lost and the game was over. However, at the start of the next battle, your health amount would continue where it left off from the previous battle.
Streak Bonus[]
More damage was dealt if the same person (either you or your opponent) won multiple rounds in a row. Unless a card in your deck stated otherwise, if the same person won twice in a row, the amount of damage dealt was multiplied x2, if the same person won three times in a row, the amount of damage dealt was multiplied x3, and so on.
Glitches[]
The bugs/glitches in game were:
- For the shop refresh glitch you needed to go into a shop, click the back arrow (⬅), and then the forward arrow(➡). Doing this will result in a new shop, and you will keep purchases from the last shop. However, you must be quick, as this glitch can fail. If the glitch fails, you will lose everything you purchased through the glitch and you cant start the glitch again unless you go to a different shop.
- For the free health glitch, you need to get a Lucky Feather (not required) and go to a ? (risk stage). Then if it’s good, you need to turn your wifi off on YOUR COMPUTER, NOT THE ROUTER. Then, you need to spam the "Gain Health" button. This glitch can get you past 100 health, but it resets down to 100 after a boss battle unless the health you gained is under 500.
The free health glitch in action
- For the big stats glitch you do something similar, except instead of spamming click on the "Gain Health" button, you have to spam on the "Gain Card" button.
- *This glitch has been patched.* For the infinite victory wall post glitch, you need to do the same thing as the shop refresh glitch. Once you defeat the evil king you can post your message, but instead of clicking end game, hit the back arrow and then the forward arrow. This will cause it to say that you can post again and the victory wall will also be updated if anyone posted after you posted.
- For the X-Ray glitch, after a turn, before the next turn, you minimize the window you are playing in, wait about 3 to 5 seconds, and re-open it. There is a chance that you will be able to see the enemy's card and attributes for a second.
- This glitch can also be done in mobile phones, as long as the device is apple: if you screenshot and click on “full page” you can see the Blook in the card and the bars that are supposed to represent statistics, you will not be able to see neither numbers nor text, so you will need to estimate numbers
- For the Level retry glitch, go to a level, and then close the tab. Reopen tower of doom, and load the save file you were using, and you can do the level again. it is helpful if you fail a rest stage, or want to max out your cards. WARNING: this glitch will not work unless you refresh the page, and/or you don't go to the map!

Artifact/Ability/Spell Cards[]
Heals:[]
Heal spells are spells that help you heal depending on which card you got. Normally the only thing you heal from is Rest stages. All these can stack so you'll heal more health.
Buffs:[]
Buff Spells helps increase your stats to make them stronger, but will face consequences (except for Training Weights). These cards are useful for map 2 and 3 since all enemies cards are upgraded. All these can be stacked except for Legendary cards since it'll be unfair and too strong for you if stacked.
Multipliers:[]
Multiplier Spells usually work on streaks. These help multiply your damage to make it faster and easier, however activating any of these will result the enemies to multiply too (except Lifeline Totem). All these can stack so you’ll have higher advantage to increase the damage, but also for enemies too.
Damage Related:[]
Damage Spells helps damage enemies/lesser damage on you when you face a consequence. This is useful as it helps to reduce taking damage from enemies or attack enemies back. All these can be stacked, except for Chess Pieces and Mighty Shield.
Coins Related:[]
Coin Spell cards are something to do with coins. Some cards give you more coins, some make the shop cheaper to avoid getting bankrupt and one doesn't permit you from gaining coins. All these can stack except Anubis’ Obelisk since it’s legendary.
Risk:[]
There was only one Risk spell Card which was the Lucky Feather. It helps increase good luck to almost every ? stage, however you can still have bad luck which may be unlikely, but still possible. This card can be stacked meaning the more Lucky Feather you have, the more Lucky you will be.
Trivia[]
- Among all deleted gamemodes, Tower of Doom has the longest span as it last for 5 years until their retirement.
- This game mode, and Study, Zorblitz, Plushie Panic, Crazy Kingdom and Pirate Pool can't be hosted at all.
- Tower of Doom is the 4th deleted gamemode after Imposters, before Pirate’s Voyage. The first 2 being Snowball Fight and Tag or Treat.
- This gamemode is based of Slay the Spire or Pokemon Master Dungeons.
- Buff spells has the most ability cards with 10 while Risk spells only have 1 making the least amount of spells.
- Both Chicken and Cockatoo have the same exact stats, where both have 4 strength, 10 charisma and 10 wisdom.
- When you have good luck in Risk stages, the card stats in good luck are always 16-18 to each stat. For bad luck it's always 0-4 to each stat.
- Magic Seedling and Cozy Igloo cards are Rare instead of Uncommon since it buffs 2 Packs and debuff 2 Packs.
- Gingerbread Man, Jester and Dragon are the only mini-bosses that are Rares as the rest are Uncommons. Coincidentally these 3 have 18 stats as their highest.
- There’s no artifact cards with Chromas, Uniques or Mysticals. The highest is Legendary.
- Training Weights is the only buff card that doesn't apply any consequences. The only good thing is just +2 stats in Rest stages that's all.
- Evil Orangutan is the only low level enemy holding a Legendary card which was the a King of Hearts.
- Mighty Shield is the only Epic Artifact card that cannot be stacked.
- It is also the only Artifact card overall that is the same icon as Mighty Shield from Racing.
- When you have Steel Socks, and you lose until your health reach zero (but at the same time the enemy loses health too), it is still considered you win.
- In level 2 map, all stats on enemy's cards increase by 1, while the final map increase all stats by 2.
- Similarly, enemies health increase by 10 per level, except for the final boss since each level is a different boss.
- King is the only Blook boss that never uses a Common rarity card.
- If you have only 1 Blook in your deck, the "Remove Card" button in shops disappears even if you have spell cards.
- Stacking Anubis' Obelisk and Elder Coins won't work. Because Anubis' Obelisk doesn't let you gain coins even if you win, basically the Elder coins is useless and won't give 100 coins.
- Chicken has the lowest health with only 25 while King has the highest with 150 health, way more than your health.
- Anubis' Obelisk is the only Legendary card that is not something to do with buffing your cards.
- Usually Mini-Bosses consist of Medieval Blooks, except for Alice and Gingerbread Man.
- In the shop, the maximum number of cards was 6 and 1 which allows you to remove a card.
- Unicorn is the only Blook boss where none of the cards reach 20 stats.
- The only card that all final boss per level have in common is the White Rabbit card.
- All these Tower of Doom blooks appeared as customer in Cafe.
- Lifeline Totem is the only Multiplier spell that only you can multiply the damage.
- Despite Mad Hatter is quite a good card and it’s Epic, none of the final boss holds it, in fact it’s only the Parrot and Jester that holds Mad Hatter card.
- The shop seems to break if the player has 10 Coupons (That is, the card purchasing stops working so everything is free).
- Epic Blook and Legendary Blook cards are not in Risk stages as a good luck. This is to make the game fair between players and enemies.
- Right before the moment Tower of Doom is removed, there were 1,771,284 people who ascended the Tower of Doom.
- The Evil Santa Claus and the Evil King also usually use the cards with themselves on it (Ex. The Santa Claus and King cards are usually used by themselves).
- DreamyDude2004 was the first user to complete the Tower of Doom.
- Mighty Shield is the only Damage related card involving no damage on us and enemies.
